Minimum Qualifications
Experience in construction, mining, manufacturing, or related industries, including participation in safety initiatives and familiarity with OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
Comfortable speaking to diverse individuals and groups in delivering safety-related information.
Ability to identify both safe and unsafe practices and to support peers by offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
A genuine interest in advancing workplace safety and helping others stay safe on the job.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and openness to learning new software and systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 & 30, OSHA 500/510, MSHA certifications or equivalent safety-related training.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of company safety programs.
Help conduct site safety audits and contribute to delivery of hazard awareness initiatives.
Assist in reviewing and following up on incident reports by identifying contributing factors and improvement opportunities.
Help reinforce Human Performance principles through communication, education, and on-site engagement.
Maintain an excellent field presence to strengthen the safety culture, monitor safe work practices, and reinforce desired safe behaviors and habits.
Provide support in implementing industrial hygiene practices, such as respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and silica exposure awareness.
Assist with preparing safety-related materials and communications using Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, Teams, and other platforms.
Support the coordination and delivery of safety training and help with documentation and logistics.
Help facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Provide support for employee engagement programs and initiatives that promote safety culture.
  • Demonstrate consistent, timely attendance and active participation in team activities.
  • Ability to connect with people to establish and contribute/maintain to an inclusive, respectful work
