Visit www.qorvo.com to learn how our diverse and innovative team is helping connect, protect and power our planet.Advanced Cellular Group (ACG) is seeking a Sr. Project Manager within Qorvo's Advanced Products Business Unit (APBU) accountable for successful execution of product development of RF Modules for cellular applications. This individual acts as the general manager of program and navigates the Qorvo Product Development Process to achieve project completion, drive world-class product development time, and ensure high quality standards.Sr. Project Manager Roles & Responsibilities
  • Executes and manages the schedule and risk mitigation elements of the project from concept to production release.
  • Facilitates the definition of the program schedule, sampling, pre-production ramp and release and for multiple projects in parallel.
  • Follows the Qorvo Product Development Process (PDP) and supports timely completion of all required phase gate deliverables.
  • Manages Leads a team of subject matter experts from in and out of APBU (cross-functional), including Engineering (Design, Test, Quality, Applications, Packaging), Product Lines, Supply Chain, Operations, and others as required.
  • Drives and documents clear expectations and agreement within the project team utilizing PM tools including project development plans, meticulous organization of meeting notes / materials / action items, leading team meetings & informal discussions.
  • Elevates within QORVO situations where this gap cannot be closed and communicates this situation to the customer as required.
  • Defines, communicates, and closes the gap between customer expectations and actual schedule.
  • Responsible for customer interface related to meetings, presentation material, key milestones, key deliverables, and messaging of information as well as maintain customer end-focus with Marketing team.
  • Emphasis on good stewardship of team resources and budgets and fosters team learning within the project group.
  • Continuously improve the speed and predictability of development programs via application Lean concepts, best practices, lessons learned.
  • Reports the project status to the business unit staff, project team, and marketing organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong and efficient work ethic with drive to take ownership of project requirements and deliverables.
  • Must be a self-guided and strategic thinker applying engineering principles to daily work.
  • Exceptional organizational skills: time management, prioritization, quick information recall and access.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communications.
  • Strong team leadership skills with ability to work with cross-functional groups and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency with MS Office and Project. Experience with Wrike is preferred.
  • Leadership in aligning goals of multiple stakeholders and decisive to execute quickly.
  • Sound decision-making skills and aggressively address and escalate issues and obstacles to project completion when necessary.
  • Understanding of Qorvo's product types and technologies.
  • Show working knowledge of Lean Principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8-STEP.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS degree required in an Engineering Field from an accredited college or university. Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace preferred.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in technical project management overseeing a product development process.
