As a Principal Data Scientist you will help shape our data science strategy and drive the development of scalable machine learning solutions that power our cybersecurity ratings engine. As a technical thought leader, you will mentor a growing team and collaborate across engineering, product and security teams.Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute on the data science roadmap to advance SecurityScorecard's core analytics and ML capabilities.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business requirements into robust and scalable data science solutions.
  • Mentor and guide other data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Conduct rigorous research and experimentation to identify new opportunities and approaches for improving our products and services.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading significant data science projects from conception to deployment.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
  • Proficiency with Python and experience with relevant data science/machine learning/statistical computing frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, Numpy).
  • Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity domain is a significant plus.
  • Experience with LLMs is a plus.

Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range.
