Full-Time live-out Nanny required for an UWS family with one toddler (and newborn born April 2024) starting ASAP / May 2024. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with the children in a warm, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone reliable, engaging and proactive who is experienced caring for multiple young children. The parents are looking for a true partner who they can rely on to show initiative and good judgment and put their children's social and emotional needs and safety first. The ideal candidate is mature, flexible with their schedule, experienced with newborn, toddler and school age milestones and who appreciates direct and open communication with the family. The family is seeking someone proactive with their children's long term development (including homework, etc.). Some domestic travel is anticipated, typically no more than 2-3 weeks at a time with some flexibility for weekday-only live-in. Toddler is in school M-Thu until 3pm, and Friday until 12.30pm.Location: UWS, NYStart date: ASAP/ May 2024Days/times: Guaranteed 45 hours/week, with general schedule to fall between 50-60 hours. Availability/interest for earlier/later shifts, date nights, and a few weekends would be ideal.Children: One toddler boy (b. June 2020) and infant (b. April 2024)Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* plus healthcare stipend*, unlimited metrocard, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations.For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a nanny (5-10 years and an experience with two kids preferred)
  • A well-suited demeanor and recent experience working infants and with toddlers
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
  • Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • An open and flexible schedule for early mornings/late nights, weekends and ability/interest to travel
  • Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc.)
  • A professional appearance
  • A clean Driver's License would be a bonus (not required to apply for this role)
