
International Student Engagement & Content Coordinator

- Serve as a welcoming presence for international students and assist them in navigating campus life, university systems, and cultural adjustment;
- Attend and support major international student events, including setup, promotion, and student engagement;
- Maintain a social media calendar and develop and post content across social media platforms (e.g. Instagram and YouTube) to promote events and highlight student stories;
- Capture photo and video content at events for use in newsletters, reports, and digital signage;
- Design flyers, posters, and other promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud;
- Coordinate the department's seasonal outreach around tax filing obligations for international students, in collaboration with Payroll and other campus partners;
- Support the creation and maintenance of instructional videos and digital student resources;
- Collaborate with student organizations and graduate assistants on content ideas and community initiatives;
- Assist in monitoring the departmental inbox, responding to general inquiries, and managing RSVPs and event calendars;
- Contribute to assessment efforts by gathering feedback, tracking media engagement, and organizing visual documentation
- Provide backup support for website edits and content updates under the direction of the Director.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred fields include communication, higher education, international studies, student affairs, or a related field)
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in student support, event planning, or content creation; experience may include work through student organizations, internships, or graduate assistantships
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Familiarity with international student experiences and/or working with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for outreach and storytelling (e.g. Instagram, YouTube)
- Basic graphic design ability using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Comfort with photography/videography using mobile devices and digital cameras
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to plan, promote, and support in-person programs and events.
- Event planning and/or student engagement experience
- Experience supporting international students or working in higher education
- Familiarity with basic video editing tools (e.g. Canva, iMovie)
- Event planning or student engagement experience
- Knowledge of FERPA, non-resident tax basics or university systems is helpful but not required.
