This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale, cloud-native environments and is passionate about observability, capacity planning, and performance optimization using tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk.Job Responsibilities
  • Define and implement performance engineering strategies for distributed, cloud-native applications (primarily on AWS).
  • Lead observability initiatives using Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable architectures and ensure performance is baked into the design from the ground up.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure systems are right-sized and cost-optimized.
  • Analyze system performance metrics and logs to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate performance monitoring into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide deep-dive analysis of performance issues across the middleware Java stack, Oracle DB, messaging systems, and web containers.
  • Mentor developers and QA engineers on performance best practices and tooling.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience working with large-scale engineering teams on performance strategy and implementation.
  • Deep expertise in Dynatrace (or similar APM tools), Datadog, and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and how to build scalable, resilient systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Java-based middleware stacks, Oracle databases, and messaging technologies.
  • Solid grasp of distributed systems, internet-scale architectures, and statistical data analysis.
  • Ability to identify application bottlenecks, reduce latency, and improve throughput.
  • Experience in Agile environments with exposure to CI/CD tools and practices.
