About this positionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing compassionate quality care that is customer and family focused. The RN assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of customers according to hospital and care center policies and standards of professional nursing practices. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered. The RN defines, implements, and improves practice standards and environment of care while promoting exceptional customer care. Duties may vary based on the assigned customer care center which may include differences in the required specific clinical skills. Actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.RequirementsEducationAssociates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.ExperienceSPECIFIC EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION:
  • Current NRP
  • Current BLS
  • Current RN licensure
  • Required to complete a Post Offer Employment & Fitness For Duty (POET)
  • Compliance with transport weight policy: Maximum weight of 215 pounds in full uniform
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:Internal Applicants
  • At minimum of 2 years Level III NICU experience
  • At minimum 1 year of Resource (preferred)
  • Maintain a work agreement of .75 FTE or greater
External Applicants
  • At minimum 3 years Level III or IV NICU experience
  • At minimum 1 year of experience attending deliveries and providing immediate post resuscitative care
  • Maintain a work agreement of .75 FTE or greater
Licensure/Certification
  • Current licensure and registration as an RN in the State of MN. Current BLS certification for all areas of nursing practice required.
  • Current certification required for the following areas of nursing practice:
  • Emergency Care Center - ACLS, TNCC, PALS
  • Intensive Care Center & MSCC Lead - ACLS
  • L&D - NRP, AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course (one time only) - Experienced L&D nurses will obtain within 6 months and new L&D nurses will obtain at 1 year of experience
  • NICU- NRP, STABLE (one time)
  • PEDS - PEARS
  • PCC/PACU/ENDO - ACLS, PALS
