Job DescriptionThe Civil Project Engineer will lead technical design efforts within a multidisciplinary team of Civil Engineers, Planners, and Designers. This role centers on land development projects, encompassing sustainable site design, utility layout, stormwater management, and site planning. Collaborating closely with the Director of Land Development, the engineer will contribute expertise to a diverse portfolio that includes commercial, retail, educational, and institutional developments. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in civil engineering design and a collaborative approach, driving project success from initial concept through to construction.Responsibilities
- Lead team in preparation of project drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Plan and develop site plans including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities.
- Prepare engineering analysis, design, calculations, and reports.
- Evaluate land use and zoning requirements including zoning ordinances and site plan approval.
- Prepare permit applications.
- Conduct occasional site visits to ensure project progress and construction quality.
- Work directly with design team, owners/developers, architects, landscape architects, engineering disciplines, and contractors.
