As a Submarine Network Administrator On-Site Representative (NOSR), you will provide IT support to the submarine fleet, specifically focused on supporting submarine networks. The NOSR will provide liaison support between the crew and support agencies, ensuring that submarine networks are in compliance with DoD, Navy, and MARMC policies. The NOSR will also be a mentor to network administrators providing network assessments that will enrich the crew's administration capabilities.This position is pending future contract award, and can be based in one of three locations: Norfolk, VA, Groton, CT or Kings Bay, GA.Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Provide administration support, guidance, training, and monitoring of Submarine Networks.
- Support Networks including client support and laptops/workstations.
- Mentor and provide training to LAN administrators on maintenance and administration procedures.
- Conduct assessments of network administration capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other IT related field
- Five (5) years' of specific professional experience supporting Submarine Networks
- Seven (7) years' of IT operations and/or maintenance
- Experience with CANES, and COMPOSE
- Experience with at least 2 of the following:
- NTCSS
- NTDPS
- HBSS
- GCCS-M
- NIAPS
- IAT lvl III Certification such as CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security, SecurityX, etc.
- Experience in the RMF process
- Knowledge of information security principles
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
