Civil Design Engineer in Training-Entry LevelOverview:Gpac has an opening for a motivated and driven Entry Level Civil Design Engineer in Training in SC. This reputable company was named one of the best Civil Engineering firms and places to work for in South Carolina.Your role:Under the Project Manager's guidance, the Designer will create construction drawings for site development, engineering designs for water, sewer, and storm drainage, and handle permit applications for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary, and familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience: Preferred background includes a previous internship in a related field.
  • Education: Hold a BS or MS degree from a university accredited by ABET in Civil Engineering. EIT Certification or eligibility to obtain EIT certification within 6 months is required.
Skills:
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of adhering to a regular schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong client service orientation, self-initiative, and team collaboration.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
