TAX MANAGER – INDIRECT TAXES – Hybrid! Great Industry Role! Outstanding compensation and benefits package!This is a tremendous opportunity to work at a very successful organization as a Tax Manager – Indirect Taxes. The company is growing both organically and through acquisitions, and yet they offer a great work/life balance!The people are awesome, and the position is highly visible and cross-functional. This position will lead sales and use tax compliance and incentives analysis for new projects and existing assets. The selected candidate will have a strong ability to build financial models and use analysis to make recommendations that support acquisitions and other strategic decisions.This is a terrific opportunity to transition out of public accounting, another industry role. or a combination of the two.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TAX MANAGER – INDIRECT TAXES
  • Combination of oversight and preparation of sales and use tax returns.
  • Indirect tax incentives analysis.
  • Maintain and file all sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts for all transaction taxes.
  • Research and monitor the tax landscape of appropriate jurisdictions.
  • Lead M&A analysis regarding sales/use tax due diligence, model potential transactions.
  • Respond to state tax notices and audit requests.
  • Manage property tax compliance and planning process.
  • Prepare related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain records and documentation for all transaction tax-related activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE TAX MANAGER – INDIRECT TAXES
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ experience in Transaction Taxes, including supervisory experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Energy experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent computer and business process skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Great team player
