The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives for our client's fast-growing business near Crystal Lake. The Manufacturing Engineer will serve a critical role in efficiency improvement and cost savings for the business, while also playing a part in the future expansion of the business
Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and documentation
Analyze process data and address non-conformances, low yields, or quality issues
Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment uptime and reduce downtime using RCA and CI methods
Support and lead cross-functional projects; mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (CGMP)
Implement new equipment and processes from specification to validation
Develop training materials and support technical onboarding for manufacturing personnel
Participate in audits and maintain plant-wide ISO quality standards

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
2+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device preferred)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, RCA, and process validation
Familiarity with CAD tools and ERP systems (e.g., IQMS)
Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Salary between $90,000 - $110,000 depending on level of experience
