The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiring a Lead Mechanic for our Woodstock, GA location. The successful candidate will repair vehicles and oversee Mechanics while providing updates to staff and management as requiredTEC is the largest and most experienced erosion control contractor in the Southeast, and we are currently growing. TEC offers comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up/control services to a wide variety of clients.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Testing motor vehicles to see if they are safe for the road and for any faults.
  • Work on diesel and small engines.
  • Repair/replace any necessary components to ensure a safe vehicle.
  • Go through checklist to ensure all work has been completed.
  • Provide regularly scheduled maintenance on vehicles.
  • Manage mechanics and their work,
  • Complete administrative paperwork on documented repairs as needed.
  • Provide reports to management.
  • Order/ maintain inventory of necessary parts.

  • Accurately estimate time and cost of repairs.

High School Diploma or equivalent; or three to five related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook.Supervisory Responsibilities:
