- Creating planograms visually and digitally using optimized space planning programs:
- Accountable for optimized, assigned planograms in partnership with Category cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for reducing the time to build planograms, reducing errors in planograms, and building and increasing the sales performance of assigned category planograms.
- Responsible for auditing the integrity of the data in the host systems used to create planograms for the assigned categories.
- Ensures that key deliverables associated with the creation, edit, review, and approval of planograms are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Partners with the Floor Planning team to ensure the timely and accurate assignment of planograms to floor plans.
- Responsible for partnering with Product Category Teams to physically and digitally set each layout per timeline requirements. Responsible for setting product in a mock store environment and presenting logic and ideation to Category Strategists, Manager, Buying teams, and Director of Visual Merchandising.
- Provides recommendations to influence buying, allocations decisions with Merchant and Planning teams.
- Compiling all information and materials for merchandising communication to the stores and field management (inclusive of merchandising videos).
- Own all fixture accessory recommendations, based on costs and function.
- Partnering cross functionally with space planning analyst, buyers, inventory management, store operations, logistics, inventory management, in store marketing and store planning while executing strategy for shop.
- Analysis, comparison, recommendations to optimize sales potential:
- Analyzes planogram productivity through space planning productivity reporting to make strategic recommendations in regard to panel flow, set quantities and space assignment:
- Optimizing the space productivity (including but not limited to sales and margin performance) reporting of the planogram, working with the buyers and /or the vendors.
- Analyze and present space productivity reporting with recommendations regarding planogram breakouts and assortment consolidations, vendor/article rationalization based on available space.
- Utilizes JDA and other systems to analyze optimization of planograms.
- Provides recommendations to influence buying and allocation decisions with the Merchant and Planning teams.
- Concept, project and product special projects:
- Actively initiates and works cross-functionally on projects that advance the goals and objectives of the company strategy, including process improvement, training, coaching, development, efficiencies, standards, and inter-department communication.
- Acts as representative of the department and assists on-boarding of department new hires.
- Prior experience with Assortment and Space Planning Tools
- Expert SAP Planning software [or comparable] user
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through skills.
- Analytical analysis – review reporting and make space recommendations.
- Problem solving, prioritization, and process management skills required.

- Presentation skills – ability to represent self and department well in meetings. Excellent communication skills
- Excel Level II experience and proficient in other MS Office programs: Word and Access
- Basic Adobe skills a plus.
