Facility: Wellstar MCG HealthJob Summary:This position provides direction and coordination for all facets of planning, design, and construction. This includes budget tracking, preparation and space design planning and growth for Wellstar MCG. Provides leadership for Planning, Design, and Construction department for Wellstar MCG. Oversees planning and construction efforts for all projects. Provides detailed reporting to on site and System level Leadership on all efforts. Assists with design and scope development as needed for projects and relocation efforts. This position reports directly to the AVP of Construction.Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Coordinate and provide capital project management, design, and scope development for the Health System to include large to small renovations, infrastructure replacements, and aesthetics. Manage and lead departmental employees and provide direction. Provide feedback on performance to include annual evaluations of employees. Manages all financials related to respective areas and projects. Provide capital cashflow input and planning for Health System. Develops budgets for operations and capital projects, ensures tracking and reporting. Provides detailed reporting to AVP on all activities. Provides presentations to senior leadership on a regular basis and as requested. Assists with space planning within existing buildings. Helps organize and process space requests for the Health System. Interacts with users on space needs and looks for potential solutions. Prepares presentations and materials for senior leadership to review for decision making purposes. Participate in leadership committees as assigned. Work with leadership on master planning for the main campus and ambulatory sites. Provide strategic capital planning for all expansion projects. Ensures compliance with all standards associated with Joint Commission, NFPA, EPA, CMS, and local authority having jurisdiction. Provides education for Health System employees as it relates to all compliance standards. If areas are found to be non-compliant, develops, documents, and implements corrective action plan. Uses checkpoints and data to track progress, setting up system and processes to measure results.Required Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree Business Admin, Finance, Construction Management, or related field of study requiredRequired Minimum Experience:Minimum 5 years or more experience in healthcare operational and construction management required.
Minimum 7 years or more of experience in healthcare operational and construction management or licensed architect preferred.Required Minimum Skills:Healthcare management, computer skills, project and budget management.
Healthcare and operations related CHFM or CHC certified preferred, or any other certification related to facilities and construction.
