Position HighlightsThe University of Arizona's Parking and Transportation Services department is seeking candidates to fill their Transportation Driver II position. This individual will drive for our Cat Tran Transit Operations, transporting passengers throughout campus on predetermined routes. They will operate a multi-passenger ADA-compliant vehicle to transport passengers to and from designated locations locally and regionally in accordance with established safe driving methods and standards.CDL with Passenger Endorsement required. Interested applicants who do not have a CDL are encouraged to apply! Parking and Transportation Services will cover the cost of the required CDL training and licensing for selected candidate. Employees can also earn up to $2,250 of incentive pay.Shift will be from 11:30AM-8:30PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional days/weekends, as needed, for special events/charter and/or football game day transport. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates a variety of multi-passenger vehicles (varies from 14-32 seats) to include utility and golf carts to transport passengers to and from designated University locations and local/regional University-sponsored events in accordance with established schedule.
- Performs routine service and maintenance of University vehicle(s) including, but not limited to: fuels vehicle, cleans interior/exterior, checks and replaces vehicle fluids, tires, lights, and wipers to ensure ongoing safe operation of vehicle in accordance with established maintenance standards.
- Must adhere to all applicable State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) regulations; comply with University Fleet Safety Policy; follow established Standard Operating Policies and job Performance Standards.
- Performs pre and/or post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure compliance with established state regulations and reports mechanical or safety device failures.
- Maintains cleanliness of shuttle compound area.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Outdoor Environment: Employees work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions.
- Extreme Heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for more than an hour.
- Extreme Cold: Temperatures below 40 degrees for more than an hour.
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University
