
Generator Service Technician, Generator Services Team

- Adhere to and promote all company safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Actively engage in accident prevention initiatives and contribute to ongoing safety improvement efforts to foster a culture of workplace safety
- Travel within an assigned region to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standards
- Keep Generator Service Manager continually apprised of current priorities to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary
- Action requests for procurement of needed materials to perform assigned duties
- Document detailed, complete and correct descriptions of all repair operations performed
- Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage
- Lift up to 40 lbs; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 40 lbs
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and provided by AWS

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years working directly with generator systems
- 2+ years troubleshooting and repairing power generation equipment using standard safety procedures
- 2-year technical training program completion, or completion of a 3 year apprenticeship
- Trained on industrial power generation equipment
- Knowledge of engines, generators and load transfer equipment
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures.
