Job Category: Production/NewsJob Description:We're looking for a freelance Senior Crewing Coordinator join the Production Management Team as one of the main points of contact for studio/remote productions. This position requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes. The Senior Crewing Coordinator also supports payroll and scheduling systems, contributes to policy and rate discussions, and serves as a central point of contact for all crewing-related matters.This role is on-site in our state of the art office in Santa Monica, CA. The typical schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday with varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.In this role, you will:
  • Assist with production crewing needs for over 200+ live studios and remote events per year.
  • Liaise daily with production managers, producers, technical managers, production finance, travel, and freelancers to understand crewing needs.
  • Assist with payroll for freelance crew.
  • Maintain progress reports, production database, and production schedules/tracker.
  • Source and develop new crew members.
  • Contribute to company policies and compensation negotiations with freelancers.
  • Work effectively with all senior level management and team management.
  • Provide support for time-sensitive crewing needs, including occasional after-hours or weekend coordination.
  • Monitor availability and skill sets of crew to ensure optimal staffing based on show requirements.
  • Resolve last-minute scheduling conflicts, callouts, or changes with professionalism and speed.
  • Work with production finance and production accounting to confirm time cards and track crewing budgets.
  • Act as a key point of contact for crew questions, availability, and show assignments.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree preferred
  • 2-3 years' experience as a crewer or production coordinator
