- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Administrative Rules and other applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and review healthcare-related policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage agency finances, including budget planning and expense tracking.
- Supervise the agency’s infection control program, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
- Provide leadership to supervisors, registered nurses (RNs), and healthcare aides.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations, competency assessments, and training sessions.
- Develop and manage mentoring programs to foster staff growth and development.
- Instruct and oversee the use of time reporting systems for staff accountability.
- Perform patient assessments to determine the need for services.
- Develop individualized patient plans of care and handle updates or changes as needed.
- Obtain written orders from physicians to ensure proper medical oversight.
- Provide care staff with clear instructions and guidance on patient care plans.
- Conduct unannounced home visits to monitor the quality of care provided by healthcare workers.
- Evaluate and improve care delivery processes to enhance service quality.
- Initiate and manage infection control and quality assurance programs.
- Ensure the agency is operating efficiently while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in Wisconsin or another state.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field.
- At least one year of experience in healthcare administration, with an additional year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care, personal care, or related health programs.
- Proven experience in the following areas:
- Following and applying Wisconsin Administrative Rules.
- Creating healthcare-related policies and procedures.
- Overseeing and managing agency finances and infection control programs.
- Completing patient assessments and making referrals for services.
- Developing and managing patient plans of care and instructing care staff.
- Conducting staff evaluations and performance assessments.
- Managing time reporting systems for staff.
- Creating and managing mentoring programs.
- Conducting unannounced home visits to monitor care quality.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
