Your work will create state-of-the-art spaces that enhance our reputation as a destination for outstanding care, helping us to expand our exceptional services within the hospital and throughout the borough.Supervises the evening operations and maintenance of the facility as well as a maintenance team tasked with performing on demand and planned maintenance activities.This is a full-time evening shift position includes on-call hours as needed for emergencies and through rotation. Normal hours are Monday - Friday 3:00 pm-11:30pm. This role is located at NewYork-Presbyterian / Queens.Preferred Criteria
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • New York City High Pressure Steam Engineer License.
  • New York City Refrigeration Operators License, unlimited tonnage
Required Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years related experience in Health Care
  • A detailed working knowledge of Boilers and ancillary equipment.
  • A detailed working knowledge of Chillers and auxiliary equipment.
  • Knowledge of control equipment associated with steam raising plant, chilled water production and chemical dosing.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance.
  • The ability to measure and assess performance, monitor progress, plan projects and coordinate with other workshops to ensure timely work completion.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peers and subordinates.
  • Must be customer orientated
