- Concept + design in-store visuals, displays and collateral across all retailers–from large scale graphics to shelf talkers.
- See all projects from initial concepting stage, in collaboration with design lead, through print production– preparing all assets for final release.
- Adapt and optimize designs for each retailer and market, ensuring brand standards and visuals are consistent globally. Working on the design production and updates for all seasonal flips across retailers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales to ensure cohesive brand messaging and visual presentation.
- Work hand-in-hand with print vendors and production partners on execution ensuring all files are perfectly prepped for print.
- Partner with external vendors, as needed, to create and source 3D elements and fixturing that enhance brand equity and navigation in-store. Rendering skills a plus.
- Develop and maintain a library of working files and guidelines that can be easily shared with cross functional teams and partners.
- Collaborate cross departments to refine process and timelines.
- Support the influencer and sales teams in execution of design collateral for events (including but not limited to) in-store + PR events, pop ups, and conferences.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in visual merchandising to continuously improve the effectiveness of displays.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate the impact of visual displays and gather feed-back from store staff and customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience designing visual merchandising/retailer assets in-house or at an agency. Previous beauty experience with retailers like Sephora + Ulta preferred.
- A strong design portfolio that displays knowledge of the retail landscape and visual merchandising. Showcasing prior experience creating printed assets across multiple outlets. Applications without a link to a portfolio website will not be considered.
- Applicant must live in the Greater Boston or NYC Area; our HQ is located in Newton, Massachusetts. We will not be considering remote or freelance applicants for this role.
- Strong understanding of composition, typography and photography.
- Expert knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A thoughtful designer and conceptual thinker.
- Proven understanding of both pre-press and on-press print production.
- Self-motivated and eager to take initiative, able to work independently while prioritizing workload to meet all deadlines.
- Ability to produce assets in a high volume with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills. Can confidently speak to concepts and creative deliverables with both internal and external partners.
