As the Facilities Operations Supervisor (Level 3) you will be responsible for:
  • Supervising ~10 hourly maintenance and general labor represented employees performing facility sustainment, modifications, and cleaning across five facilities consisting of ~420K sq ft., equipment repair, upgrades, relocations and decommissioning and small tool refurbishment.
  • Facility and equipment preventative maintenance planning, scheduling, on-time completion according to specifications and safety guidelines and recording actions taken in a computer system of record
  • Coordinates hiring actions with HR and is responsible for employee work assignments, job prioritization, time accounting, safety and health, recognition and disciplinary actions.
  • Interacts daily with Facility Engineering to determine task prioritization and required outsourcing due to unique capabilities, certifications and/or when internal capacity constraints impact project timelines.

  • Normal schedule is 4/10s Mon-Thurs with occasional weekend overtime and limited travel to support equipment procurement.

  • Experience with facility infrastructure &/or equipment sustainment, repair, modifications, &/or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, HVAC &/or boiler systems &/or ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Possess technical familiarity with life cycle maintenance.
Desired skills
  • 5-years leadership experience over facilities maintenance team
  • Demonstrated leadership/management abilities supervising personnel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing a team in a union environment.
  • Experience recording facility and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in a computerized system (i.e., Maximo, LMBuildings, etc)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
