- Provide maintenance of existing dies and execute changeovers.
- Capable of creating dies and tools and reworking dies for production requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments, including tool room, production, engineering, and quality.
- Participate in tooling design, refurbishment, and other related projects as needed.
- Attend tooling design and project overview meetings to ensure project success.
- Plan and lay out work based on specifications provided.
- Determine appropriate materials, tools, and processes for each task.
- Utilize tool and die maker tools and precision measuring instruments for precise work.
- Evaluate, repair, and troubleshoot problematic dies to ensure specifications are met.
- Work closely with production and other personnel to guarantee optimal performance of dies and tooling.
- Document all information and procedures related to individual tools and update drawings.
- Set up and maintain all tool room equipment and related machinery.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Take part in departmental Continuous Improvement initiatives and area 5S.
- Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
- 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and working with dies.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tool & die issues effectively.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and die support documentation.
- Experience operating standard and specific tool room machinery.
- Adaptability and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures and willingness to follow them.
