- Design, plan and execute in vivo experiments to support LNP based targeted delivery across the blood brain barrier through systemic administration
- Develop bioanalytical assays (cell-based, flow cytometry, ELISA, biomedical imaging) to assess the delivery efficiency of RNA cargo in rodent tissue to facilitate development of neuroscience focused therapeutics pipeline
- Conduct studies in small animals models for brain characterization, biodistribution (qualitative/quantitative), disease model development, efficacy and toxicity assessment
- Contribute to patent applications related to the neuroscience program
- Perform CRO outreach including experimental planning, work coordination and data interpretation for neuroscience program
- Support technology transfer to Industry Partners
- Foster collaborative relationships across the team and company and engage in a positive and exciting work environment
- Contribute to hiring, training, and collaborating with scientists (as needed) to support assessment of efficacy in relevant in vivo models
- Plan and coordinate animal studies with formulations team members
- Author technical documents, including SOPs for analytical methods, maintain diligent records and demonstrate proficiency in scientific communication
- Support high-quality documentations to support regulatory filings
- PhD/MS in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field, preferably with 1-3/6+ years of relevant experience. The title will be commensurate with experience.
- Experience working with murine animals, including animal handling, dosing (IV, IP, PO, SC), blood collection (submandibular and cardiac) and tissue necropsy
- Prior experience in neuroscience focused research is a must
- Knowledge in brain physiology and cell biology
- Experience in biomolecular analytics (ELISA, PCR, Flow Cytometry)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Experience in brain tissue dissection, histology and imaging is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex technical topics to diverse audiences with varying technical depth.
