
Aircraft Parts Painter B - 2nd Shift

- Preparation of aircraft parts:
- Check parts to ensure they are clean and not damaged before hand-sanding the surfaces for a smooth surface before masking and priming
- Select and adjust spray gun per the instructions while mixing paint according to the specifications
- Painting various aircraft parts:
- Use painting techniques (i.e. spray paint, dip paint) to coat all crevices of aircraft parts with primer or paint based on specifications
- Carefully inspect parts to ensure no dirt, dust, or other foreign objects appear in paintwork before baking in oven
- High School education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required
- At least one year of manufacturing spray painting or related experience is required
- Experience using polyurethane, Hexamine chromium, and various types of paint is helpful
- Attention to detail and ability to read paint (i.e. wet, dry, blotchy) is helpful to ensure efficiency
