This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee clinical assessments, care planning, and reimbursement processes while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position!The bonus will be paid out in set increments and is contingent upon time, attendance, and performance.About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse with expertise in MDS, RAI, and Clinical Reimbursement. As a key leader, you will be responsible for guiding the team in the following areas:Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage MDS scheduling, setup, and timely completion.
  • Handle new admission authorizations, updates, family/insurance communications, and case manager coordination.
  • Perform ICD-10 coding for new admissions and ongoing updates for the LTC population.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) on developing, updating, and reviewing resident care plans.
  • Communicate with families and residents regarding care plans, insurance needs, and discharge planning; participate in care conferences.
  • Educate the IDT on MDS requirements, assessments, and skilled care service standards.
  • Lead Utilization Review Meetings, ensuring accurate PDPM scores and rates.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to maintain proper documentation standards.
  • Participate in the facility’s Quality Measures and QAPI process for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct chart reviews and audits as necessary.
  • Assist the IDT during surveys and inspections.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in the state of Minnesota
  • MDS experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
MDS processICD-10 coding and guidelinesMedicare Chapter 8 Manual and RAI Manual
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tools like Excel, Teams, or Zoom is a plus!
  • Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) is preferred.
