The Service Supervisor will coordinate and manage all vehicle service operations, including service writing, scheduling, and customer communication. The role is hands-on, overseeing technicians, supporting complex repairs, and ensuring accurate work orders, estimates, and compliance with safety and quality standards.The Service Supervisor, automotive manufacturing, will:
Serve as primary service writer, preparing work orders, estimates, and repair authorizations
Supervise and assign daily tasks to service technicians, providing training and performance reviews
Communicate with customers on service needs, timelines, costs, and technical support
Answer calls, generate parts quotes/orders, and manage warranty authorizations/claims
Manage service inventory and parts warehouse, including pulling, shipping, and ordering parts
Maintain accurate service records, logs, and warranty documentation
Perform diagnostics and support technicians with complex repairs
Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
Track and schedule repair orders, preventative maintenance, and service activities
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address recurring issues
Support continuous improvement in service operations and customer satisfaction
Uphold OSHA and workplace safety requirements across service activities

High School diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification preferred
3+ years of automotive, vehicle service, or maintenance experience
Strong mechanical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
Background in low-volume or specialty vehicle manufacturing a plus
Supervisory or team lead experience in a service/repair environment
Experience as a service advisor, writer, or other customer-facing repair role
Proficiency with service tracking software and Microsoft Office
Strong customer service orientation with proven problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of OSHA and Massachusetts workplace safety standards
Valid Massachusetts driver's license
Ability to work effectively across teams and guide technicians in day-to-day operations
