If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and are committed to safety and quality, we encourage you to apply!Pay Rate:Base Hourly Rate: Starting at $19.20 per hour.Incentive Opportunities: This position offers a significant incentive program based on hourly production.Earn additional pay ranging from $1.45 to over $38.73 per hour on top of your base rate, depending on your output.Total potential hourly earnings can range from $19.20 up to $57.93 per hour or more, based on performance.Your earning potential increases with your productivity!Please refer to the attached pay scale document for full details on our incentive programHere's What We Offer:Daily Pay Option – Access your earnings before paydayWeekly Pay – Get paid on time, every weekPTO (Paid Time Off)Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance – 3 medical plan options through Blue Cross Blue Shield with low weekly premiums starting at $25.22Health Savings Account (HSA) – Company contribution up to $750 annually with tax-advantaged savings401(k) with Company MatchFlexible Benefits – Multiple plan options to fit your needs and budgetPrescription Drug Coverage – Low copays starting at $10 for generic medicationsFREE Life Insurance & AD&D – Basic coverage provided at no cost upon employmentVision Benefits – $10 eye exams and $150 frame allowance through Superior Vision by MetLifeDental Coverage – 100% preventive care coverage with MetLife plans starting at $5.39 per weekVoluntary Benefits – Additional life insurance and short-term disability options availableWhat You'll Be Doing:As a Reman Pallet Builder, your primary responsibilities will include:Building pallets of various sizes with precision, utilizing recycled and new lumber to ensure consistent quality.Operating and maintaining multiple types of small and large equipment, including high-powered saws.Performing regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Meeting or exceeding daily production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced assembly line environment.Identifying and understanding different types and grades of pallets, and evaluating them to ensure they meet PLA standards.Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace to reduce accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Promptly escalating any technical or process issues to leadership.Fostering exceptional and collaborative partnerships with facility staff to ensure smooth operations.Performing other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse functions.What We're Looking For:Previous experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or construction is preferred.Knowledge of operating a variety of saws, including their uses and basic maintenance, is preferred.Ability to work safely with high-powered saws in a fast-paced assembly line environment.Proven ability to meet or exceed daily production goals and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects and imperfections in pallets.High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; however, any combination of education and experience will be considered.A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials regularly throughout the shift (e.g., lumber, pallets).Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, and dust.Requires good manual dexterity and tactile sensitivity for operating tools, handling materials, and inspecting pallet quality.Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions in a noisy environment, as well as alarms and equipment sounds.Excellent vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) for detailed work, reading measurements, identifying defects, and operating machinery safely.Our story…so farFounded in 1989 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, PLA is a national supply chain solutionsprovider offering Pallet Management Services, 3PL Services, Reverse Logistics Services, andFreight Brokerage & Transportation Management Services, handling over 115 million palletsper year for over 1,500 customers.
