As part of a Fortune 500 company, we provide the strength and resources of a global manufacturer while maintaining a close-knit team environment.What We OfferStarting pay: $25.95/ hourShift Premium: Additional $1.00/hour for 2nd and 3rd shiftsWage increases every 6 months until top pay, and then annuallyFull benefits package effective after 30 days, including:Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA)Disability and Life Insurance401(k) and Pension PlanPaid Time Off and HolidaysStock Purchase ProgramEmployee DiscountsWellness ProgramsShift OverviewThis position is available on 2nd and 3rd shifts:2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AMIncludes a paid lunch and access to always-available, completely voluntary overtime before or after your shift.Essential FunctionsProficiently prepares, applies, and confirms that customer surface preparation and coating requirements are achieved with consistent high qualityEnsures substrate preparation compliance by removing dirt, oil, or contaminants to support coating adhesion and long-term integrityPrepares and applies coatings per manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper cure times and defect-free finishes (no runs, sags, or thin spots)Adjusts paint and process parameters based on environmental conditionsBlends and repairs coatings as needed to maintain a consistent, quality finishConfirms coating thickness using wet mil or dry film gaugesPerforms cleaning and preventive maintenance on painting and mixing equipmentMonitors air filtration systems and electrical grounds for compliance and performanceEvery employee is expected to:Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and quality documentationWork safely and maintain a clean work areaPerform self-inspections and support quality control functionsPerform preventive maintenance on operated equipmentTrain and/or assist in the development of personnelSupport team assignments and perform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsAverage mechanical skills with ability to read and writeWorks independently with moderate supervisionFrequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 35 poundsInfrequent lifting (3–6 times per shift) and/or carrying of 65–70 lb paint pailsMust pass physical exam as required for use of respiratorMust be capable of entering confined space areas as requiredPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma, additional related technical school training OR one (1) to three (3) years painting experienceExperience in a manufacturing environmentOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
