Third shift premium of $3.25 Responsibilities:Purpose:Reporting to the Production Group Leader (Supervisor), the Team Leader will support approximately 10 team members on a production work team. The Team Leader will utilize leader standard work to coach, develop and build capabilities of team members.Position Responsibilities:Primary duties:
- Assimilate and train new team members within their area/zone.
- Communicate safety news, quality findings, human resources updates and line rate/goals to team in daily pre-shift meeting.
- Ensure all team members are following safety procedures. Obtain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for team members when necessary.
- Work with team members to generate and support ideas for Continuous Improvement. Keep a mindset of Continuous Improvement in everything you do.
- Hold team members accountable for adherence to standardized work and safety guidelines.
- Escalate any production issues/systemic problems to Group Leaders.
- Maintain shift-to-shift communications with other Team Leaders and Group Leaders.
- Update and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and other metrics for area/zone.
- Prior experience leading others in a work or volunteer capacity.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Must possess a genuine people-centric mentality and a heart for servant leadership.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Standing long period, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
- Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
