Cultivate joy.Role Overview:The Application Systems Analyst works with a group in the implementation and solution development of the Indiana State Enforcement and Tracking System (ISETS) and ancillary application. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure quality project implementations and business adoptions in a timely manner. You will also grow ongoing stability for DCS legacy systems and provide the knowledge and expertise necessary for planned modernization of the systems.This position is in the IT Support department at the DCS central offices in Indianapolis, Indiana.Salary:The salary for this position traditionally starts at $79,118 per year but may be commensurate with education or work experience.Use our to view the total compensation package.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are:
  • Consult with IT Management, technical staff, and business on current issues and new IT initiatives.
  • Plan and review technical and business implications of system changes and improve current and future business processes.
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of user needs and business systems.
  • Lead research and analysis for identified IT projects and issues.
  • Manage work as designated, following agency project management processes and tools (SDLC and Agile).
  • Serve as a Scrum Master when needed.
  • Grow ongoing stability for the legacy systems that the Child Support Bureau is reliant upon and provide the knowledge base/expertise necessary for planned modernization of these systems.

Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.What You'll Need for Success:You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years of experience supporting the state of Indiana as a computer application developer.
  • Experince as a senior-level developer and technical leader on IT projects and for production fixes.
  • Experience as a senior-level developer who has provided technical leadership on multiple enhancement projects.
  • Experience in supporting both Mainframe and web-based applications.
  • Technical skills in COBOL/Telon, Mulesoft, Database Management, Agile, Technical Leadership, Batch, Technical Analysis, Bug/Defect Remediation, and Production Support.
  • Extensive knowledge of the ISETS system and its business processes, with expertise in batch processing.
