Job Category: Campus Support ServicesJob Description:The Catering Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the logistics and execution of events by overseeing warehouse operations, managing event equipment inventory, and ensuring accurate staging of event operations equipment. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the catering program and the on-site events team. The Catering Warehouse Coordinator manages inventory, ensures efficient warehouse processes, and maintains high standards of product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a problem-solving mindset, be punctual and dependable, and have a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced environment.Key Functions & Expected PerformanceInventory Management:Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of event equipment, disposables, and beverage stock ensuring accurate inventory levels.Maintain inventory records and provide regular reporting on stock levels, usage, and needs.Collaborate with the catering management team to forecast inventory requirements and optimize warehouse operations.Warehouse Operations:Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout, ensuring easy access to products and compliance with safety protocols.Prepare and stage equipment lists for catering operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to various locations.Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of all catering supplies, equipment, and merchandise.Quality Assurance and Safety:Conduct regular inspections of products for cleanliness, proper working conditions and qualityAdhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security protocols within the warehouse facility.Collaboration and Support:Work closely with the catering team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of supply needs.Serve as a liaison between the warehouse and event operations staff to address any issues or discrepancies.Assist with catering operations on event days, including driving responsibilities when necessary, to ensure smooth service and supply managementSupervisory Relationship:This position has no direct supervisory responsibility, this position reports to the Catering and Events Operations Director.Education and Certifications
  • A high school diploma or GED is necessary.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution with specialized training in supply management or related field is preferred.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in a warehouse or logistics role
  • Demonstrated history of exemplary attendance and a high level of reliability
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record with ability to drive 24' box truck, golf cart, or other company owned vehicles.
  • Basic knowledge of catering and event equipment and food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, lift up to 50# while bending and twisting regularly.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support catering events.
