- Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement, in collaboration with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Supervision and Leadership: Manage a team of field staff, including foremen, subcontractors, and trade workers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that all trade installations and systems comply with relevant codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project expenses, review cost reports, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for all team members and subcontractors.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to address
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing trades initiatives, with a focus on large hospital and higher education projects. Previous experience working in a general contracting company is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems. Familiarity with applicable codes and regulations
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams on complex construction projects. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project stakeholders. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Safety Consciousness: Thorough knowledge of construction safety standards and practices, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety on-site.
