Our community is a short drive to to College Station-Texas A&M University, Dallas and Houston.Fairfield Community Guide: .Position Summary:The Facilities Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and smooth operation of a luxury resort property. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the resort's physical assets, including HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, fences, water systems, and other facilities. The Facilities Technician ensures that all systems are functioning efficiently and that the property remains in pristine condition to meet the high standards of guest satisfaction.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or engineering experience, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, kitchen equipment maintenance, and water treatment.
  • Basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems to ensure optimal climate control and energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, etc.) to support seamless food & beverage operations.
  • Inspect and repair property fences, gates, and related structures, ensuring guest safety, security, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Conduct water testing for water features; maintain proper chemical balance and water quality in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for resort equipment and infrastructure.
  • Respond to and resolve service requests and urgent maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with general facility repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs of inspections, repairs, and part replacements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and equipment servicing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and resort policies.
  • Provide exceptional service that reflects the luxury and high standards of the resort brand.
