Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, start-up, and service of automation systems, primarily focusing on DC drives for auto shredders and general drive applications. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and integration of these systems.Responsibilities
  • Design and configure drive systems.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs to enhance system functionality.
  • Develop and implement data acquisition and SCADA systems.
  • Perform electrical circuit design and bill of material development.
  • Conduct system tests and start-ups for field engineering services on customer drive systems.
  • Provide field engineering services on customer automation and controls.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct engineering studies to improve system efficiency.
Essential Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in an automation, industrial equipment, or systems integration environment.
  • Proficiency in field service work, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting equipment from concept to completion.
  • Experience with motors and drives (VFDs) and a solid working knowledge of electricity.
  • Ability to open, manipulate, and troubleshoot PLC code.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of force theory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree is preferred.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Experience in PLC programming and medium voltage systems.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is within a medium-sized company that provides industrial control systems, solutions, and services to industries such as steel processing, recycling, rubber/plastics, and paper. The facility is extremely clean and well-lit, fostering a family-oriented atmosphere. You will be part of a team of 3-4 Field Service Engineers, reporting directly to the Director of Technology/Service Manager within the Automation/Industrial Services group.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
