
Manager of Payer Contracting

- The contract manager’s task is to ensure consistent development of proposals, new contract execution and management of existing contracts under the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) programs.
- Works with Finance department and PRC Data Analytics to provide analysis of financial data, including clinical service line reporting, trend analysis, proformas, and forecasts, and the monitoring of key financial metrics.
- Coordinates communication and implementation of contract provisions among multiple departments within BayMark.
- Negotiates contracts on behalf of BayMark RTCs.
- Coordinates development of rate proposals and reviews rate analysis.
- Evaluates contracts and leads negotiations as assigned.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
- Representing BayMark’s treatment programs and advocating for our contracting strategy to both internal and external stakeholders
- Engagement in non-standard agreement development requiring a high level of negotiation skills, i.e. Value Based Agreements, special projects
- Coordinate quarterly meetings with targeted plans of high impact to Operations
- Identify opportunities collaborate to develop programs with payers leading to increased revenue/census and relationship building
- Other duties and projects as assigned by department Sr. Vice President
- Comply with BayMark policies and procedures, Compliance Policy and Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen, data analytic skills, management/supervisory skills, and experience with project management and customer relationship management
- Demonstrated leadership skills, relationship development, team building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high sense of urgency and budget effectively without close supervision
- Must be a self-starter, creative, proactive and organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative work style
- Excellent written, proofreading and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite, with the willingness to learn new programs as required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 5 years of experience developing and/or managing contracts.
- Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret professional and clinical documents, financial reports, and legal documents
- Knowledge of negotiating contracts for residential treatment facilities preferred.
- Knowledge of diverse contracts, procurement processes, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Effective oral and written communications skills including email communications, letter writing skills, executive summaries, Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task through multiple projects.
- Consistently meets deadlines, with ability to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible.
- Must be detail oriented and team oriented.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
