- Sets up and tear down Barista station.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Take guest’s order, produces and serve in a timely manner.
- Process payment, accounting for all products.
- Acts as a cashier for breakfast area.
- Answer telephone, takes reservations and room service orders.
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive, gather information such as name, check guest’s reservations or log them in as set up. Ensure even distribution of tables for each server.
- Politely take guests to table, hand them menus and inform them who their server will be, inform them of specials and leave with a courteous greeting.
- Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
- Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed.
- Assist with all to-go orders.
- Participate in setting up of dining room and buffets.
- Act as a cashier for Dining Room.
- Process cash/checks payments.
- Answer phones and maintain voicemail.
- Thank all guests graciously and invite them to return.
- Maintain restroom facilities at beginning and throughout shift.
- Sweep outdoor steps and vacuum carpets.
- Brush away cobwebs and insects at front door.
- Performs any general cleaning tasks using hotel-cleaning products as assigned to abide by health standards.
- Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized.
- Clean all menus before, during and after shift.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of coffee and specialty coffee drinks.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understanding menus.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
- Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
- Relay important reservation requests to servers.
- Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
- No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and self-motivate during slow periods.
- Ability to work POS system.
- Computerized Reservation System handling.
