- Own Tier 1 meeting preparation and deliver meeting as needed – communicate; output, misses, quality goals, how we will close the gaps, equipment and facility issue resolution, recognize achievements and GOOD CATCHES.
- Effectively communicate and document standard work changes.
- Ensure shift change is executed properly between shift leads, as well as with operators at each station.
- Perform stand-down training with each operator within assigned work cell(s) and provide preliminary review of employees for the OJT sign-off
- Ensure training and cross-training is completed in a timely manner, based on the specific workstation. Provide suggestions to the Supervisor on cross-training potential and depth building.
- Strategically analyze roster and skills matrix to optimize workstations.
- Facilitate Operator discussions on performance before escalation to the Supervisor
- Regular Pitchwalks - pulse operators on a periodic basis to understand what support they need to meet objectives.
- Evaluate the team, providing tools, coaching, and countermeasures for underperformance escalating to Supervisor as appropriate.
- Strategically organize and prioritize resources to meet high demands with minimal resources.
- Review output on a regular basis and update Tier boards accordingly.
- Support CORE and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Identify Flow Inhibitors and material shortages and escalate accordingly.
- Identify and encourage turnbacks.
- Perform regular Gemba Walks to observe non-standard production.
- Support manufacturing floor sweep.
- Monitor non-conforming material area and expedite disposition.
- Communicate Quality Alerts.
- Own PPE compliance within assigned work cell(s).
- Enter RIDII’s on operator or own behalf
- Understand and provide support for building evacuations.
- Escalate PPE shortages or failure to adhere to PPE to Supervisor.
- Inspect calibrated equipment to ensure compliance.
- Ensure TPMs are being performed by employees within assigned Work Cell(s).
- Enter work orders for down equipment, escalating when not addressed in a timely manner
- Review chemical cabinets for expired or non-compliant material.
- 5S shared spaces within assigned Work Cell and ensure employees are performing and adhering to 5S practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable shadow boards.
- You will gain experience effectively leading a production team and will regularly interface with leadership.
- You will train and gain full MRB authority to QN and disposition parts associated with the machine shop.
- This role will position you for a potential opportunity to move into a higher leadership position.

- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined
- Basic MS Excel – and general understanding of the MS Office Suite.
- Prior leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to respond quickly and adapt effectively to non-routine requests and situations with accuracy.
