The Laboratory Glassware Technician will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining laboratory glassware, handling hazardous waste, and ensuring all equipment is sanitized according to safety standards. The individual in this role will work in a laboratory setting and must follow strict protocols for handling potentially hazardous materials.Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware using appropriate methods.
- Safely handle and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspect glassware for any damage or contamination.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request orders as needed.
- Ensure workstations are clean and well-organized.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly.
- Manual dexterity for handling delicate glassware.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of hazardous waste handling procedures.
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience in a lab environment is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
