- Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s)
- Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs
- Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift
- Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift which includes but is not limited to:
- Manages early call-ins, early departures, call-offs, sharing of resources, breaks and lunches for team members
- Assigns team member responsibilities per shift
- Addresses process or employee issues during their shift
- Communicates schedule changes, performance concerns and shift issues to the Clinical Manager routinely
- Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations
- Trains and mentors new team members
- Provides input to Clinical Manager on team member performance evaluations
- Participates in on-call responsibilities
- Participates in management or administrative meeting(s) routinely
- Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Manage appointments, obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
- Intravenous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance
- Thorough understanding of anesthetic considerations and how comorbidities affect case protocol and perioperative management
- Monitor anesthesia, trouble shoot anesthetic complications and make appropriate interventions
- Continuous expansion of knowledge and skillset; advanced anesthetic skills include arterial line placement, epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management.
- Lean on thorough understanding of physiology and pharmacology to facilitate delivery of appropriate anesthetic care for high risk patients or procedures.

- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
- Prior veterinary experience required, previous Anesthesia experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
