- Ensures all work is planned out ahead of time and assigned to employees to maximize productivity.
- Delegate employees to other positions as needed to ensure batches and essential jobs are completed. This is completed while following safety procedures and monitoring the safety actions of subordinates, such as proper PPE, bonding and grounding, etc.
- Ensure batch tickets, fill sheets, shift handover forms, and all other paperwork are completed correctly.
- Owns housekeeping and 5S for the department and drives the standardization and sustainability aspects of keeping the department clean and organized.
- Collect and compile all employees' work data for the week and turn in all other tracking documentation.
- Drives a sense of urgency.
- Manages conflict on the floor.
- Makes key decisions critical for business success.
- Closely monitor activities in the department to: ensure HSE compliance, ensure a high level of quality, and maximize productivity.
- Work with others to drive improvement projects.
- Closely monitor Operator performance and recommend discipline when needed.
- Make batches and fill off as needed during peak production demands
- Assist the Supervisor in any other duties as requested.
