- Oversee annual onboarding & new hire process for newly hired Sales Team Members, creating consistent process for all divisions and regions.
- Executes and manages Sales Certification programs for new product launches.
- Conduct Business Acumen sessions (IBR/CBR/Athena, Power BI, Story and Retail Edge) for Territory Managers and Field Sales Consultants to prepare them for progression within the sales organization.
- Coach FSC’s and AM’s on how to demonstrate Tempur Sealy products, using a training program (EASi) to emphasize features and benefits and demonstrate a core retail process effectively to the retail associates.
- Maintain relationships with key sales and training personnel and measures sales results pre- and post-trainings.
- Conduct ‘Train the Trainer’ summits with sales leaders and other key internal and external personnel. These summits are designed to prepare FSMs to develop Functional Excellence in the domain of training to provide coaching and feedback.
- Be part of Divisional Vice Presidents (DVP’s) and Regional Sales Directors (RSD’s) plan to drive success. Including but not limited to TSI representative ride alongs to evaluate and coach the development of Business acumen (IBR, CBR, Athena, floor evaluations and so on….), training and other day to day activities.
- Communicate recaps of field ride-alongs to RSD’s and FSM’s, including observations on job efficiencies, business acumen, presentation skills, accurate dissemination of the sales training message, and the attitude of the AM / FSC. Meet with RSD’s and FSMs to communicate the development of each AM / FSC and align on future needs.
- Manage & develop National Trainers who lead large customer training events with focus on product launches.
- Provide guidance from the perspective of RSA’s and TSI sales to the creation of sales and product training materials. To ensure training will build fluency and brand advocacy at retail and TSI sales.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of TSI brand portfolio and product features, benefits and specifications.
- Track the effectiveness of sales training adoption with AM’s and FSC’s.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree (BA, or BS) from a four-year college or university is preferred
- 5-7 years of related training and sales experience (territory management & buying office experience required).
- Working knowledge of sales metrics, systems, advertising, and merchandising
- Strong understanding of retail floor environment and demonstrates effective relationship management with RSA’s and TSi employees
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or equivalent.
- This position may require 30% to 50% overnight travel with some weekend and evening work.
