We are a small, local company, dedicated to matching candidates to the right opportunities!Med-Scribe is currently recruiting for a certified medical coder for a temp to hire opportunity with a company based out of the Pittsford, NY area.In this role, you will perform tasks to assist in processing case files for non-medical necessity reviews involving billing, coding, compliance, or other technical issues. Attention to detail is key!Job duties will include, but not be limited to:Abstracting and coding clinical dataAuditing medical records to ensure complianceAccurately entering coded data in a system and validating data entered.Researching correct coding practices, clearly documenting, and sharing findings with others.Reviewing denials and recommending billing corrections.any other related duties as assigned.Days/Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday between 8 AM – 5 PMTraining Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM for approximately the first 2-3 weeks.Salary: $21.42/hour.Benefits available: Including Health Insurance, Vision insurance, dental and holiday pay!Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma/equivalent required2 years of medical coding experience requiredCPC or CCS certification required
