- Conduct market analysis, use competitive intelligence principals to support good business development decisions. Acquire and stay up to date about strategic information on customers and the industry in order to anticipate market trends;
- Search & identify new business opportunities via the web media, daily commercial news, publications, industry websites & events, existing customers, and suppliers; also collaborate with representatives and managers of other sister divisions;
- Search for key individuals (project manager, procurement, engineering manager, site manager, etc.) who will be directly or indirectly involved with the opportunity once its known;
- Seek to obtain an invitation to bid (RFQ/RFP) products & services from potential and existing customers;
- Manage & store incoming bid request documentation while communicating the information to team members and/or internal resources;
- Participate in the preparation of a list of technical & commercial questions relating to the bid request process and communicate the information to the internal team;
- Participate in the estimation process with internal/external resources/suppliers;
- Participate in the preparation of the quote package by obtaining information (technical & commercial) from internal resources including: engineering, marketing, accounting, legal, administration, etc.;
- Assist in pre-award negotiations to ensure customers’ questions receive accurate and professional answers;
- Process and validate purchase orders and/or change orders while communicating with internal resources;

- Increased knowledge of the North American market
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Resourcefulness, initiative, and versatility
- Rigor and meticulousness.
- Team collaboration
- Engineering background would be an asset
