This role performs duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies including high-dollar, heavy, or HAZMAT items in support of the business.The role is strictly concerned with customer service to internal customers as well as optimized warehouse operations. As a result, this role will interface with Warehouse Management, Project Management, Operations, and Pipeline Maintenance to optimize order fulfillment and material management processes. This position spends extended periods sitting or standing and bending. Occasional heavy lifting may also be required.What you'll doAssure and maintain data integrity in all workCollaborate with other SC functions, Operations and Maintenance groups to effectively manage and optimize order fulfillment rate.Comply with all company policies and procedures, and controls including but not limited to safety, health, confidentiality, and environmental policiesConduct Cycle Counting and/or Physical Inventory Process per schedule and reports discrepancies to Warehouse ForemanCount, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other recordsDetermine method of shipment utilizing the company’s third-party logistics providersExamine incoming shipments for issues with quality, count, part number, etc. and complete paperwork required for documentationFill orders and issue materials per requests and document transactions appropriatelyInspection and care of small tools, slings, hoists, etc. as requiredLoad and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilitiesMay be required to drive company vehicle and maintain any/all licenses in good standingMonitor and maintain physical condition of warehouseOperate material handling equipment such as forklifts, and pallet jacks to reposition materialsPerform transactions in the SAP inventory system to enter new quantities and to remove inventory from stock to ensure accurate system and documentation updatesPrepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and preparing necessary shipping documentsPromote and participate in continuous improvement activities such as team huddlesProvide training and guidance to other Warehouse Specialists and support on-boarding of new personnelReceive materials into the warehouse and verify materials against purchase order or receiving report to ensure the accuracy of the deliveryResolve issues of quality, count, part number, etc. with incoming shipments & elevate those not resolvedResolve issues with documentation and package marking with appropriate placards when moving hazardous materials and elevate those that are not resolvedResolve problems utilizing knowledge of shipping/receiving/stock operationsResponsible for receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of critical inventory (including pre-tested pipe, equipment and supplies)Support the warehouse operations from inventory storage, space utilization, safety and complianceVerifies correctness of catalogue/inventory numbers, descriptions, quantities, units, and location and resolve and/or communicate differencesWorks with Logistics team and Logistics suppliers to schedule incoming and outgoing shipmentsMinimum QualificationsA high school diploma is requiredFive (5) years experience in Warehouse Management specifically relating to receiving / issuing / storage of materialsExperienced in the SAP Supply Chain Management processes as it relates to issuing and receiving is requiredHigh focus on safety and serviceAbility to Operate Heavy Equipment (Forklift)Preferred QualificationsPost-secondary and / or a Supply Chain Management designationExperience within the oil and gas and / or pipeline industryKnowledge of materials management, inventory controls and logisticsDetail oriented with a high attention to detailAbout our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
