- Lead, manage, and develop a team of field-based Oncology Nurse Educators (“ONEs”), ensuring that the team is fully equipped to deliver high-quality education programs.
- Hire and develop diverse nursing talent and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to ONEs to help them achieve professional growth and excellence in their roles.
- Implement nursing education goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to meet or exceed goals and to advance safe and effective use of AbbVie therapies.
- Conduct regular field visits, provide feedback, and ensure that in-services and education programs are being effectively executed and approved clinical and market-based information is effectively utilized.
- Facilitate and support the development and delivery of training for ONEs ensuring that skills, behaviors, and execution are aligned to business and brand goals.
- Collaborate with internal cross functional partners (Marketing, training, legal, compliance, field operations) teams to design, develop and implement tools, systems, guidelines, and processes that enhance education resources, capability, and operations.
- Create and support a positive and professional patient focused team environment driving AbbVie culture and values.
- Manage the development of key nursing relationships within institutions/accounts.
- Build and support high functioning relationships with field partners and co-promote partners to ensure appropriate and compliant coordination of education activities.
- Support development and execution of Key Account plans in close coordination with in-field teams and co-promote partners.
- Track and evaluate effectiveness of ONE team execution in defined geography; develop action plans for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with AbbVie policies and procedures and code of conduct.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, nursing education, and best practices to ensure that nursing education capabilities and programs are innovative and effective.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the nurse education function and capability.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing with Oncology nursing experience preferred.
- 5+ years of field experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a history of successful performance in field capacity and collaborative skills. Oncology experience preferred.
- Experience leading field teams in the pharmaceutical industry and managing nursing education initiatives are highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills; proven demonstration of effective cross-functional team leadership.
- Oncology clinical acumen and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and nursing education practices.
- High degrees of strategic, analytic, and technical expertise are necessary; ability to innovate and execute.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and environments, ability to lead and influence through change.
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements.
- Travel: 30%-50%, depending on residence location. Located in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida, preferably near a metropolitan airport.
- Required to satisfy all applicable health care industry credentialing requirements to gain & maintain entry into facilities and organizations. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting & specific licenses required by states or cities.
