We're Hiring: Adult IDD Assessor!We are seeking a Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) Assessor to support a statewide initiative focused on ensuring adults with IDD receive the services and support they need to thrive. In this role, you will conduct person-centered assessments using the CAS tool to help guide the development of individualized care and support plans.Location: Assigned Region - Brooklyn

Travel Reimbursement: Travel between assessment locations will be reimbursed. This includes mileage for personal vehicle use as well as costs associated with public transportation (e.g., subway, bus, train).What You'll Do:
  • Conduct in-person CAS assessments in homes and community-based settings.
  • Travel throughout the Brooklyn region to meet with individuals, families, and caregivers.
  • Use a person-centered approach to assess needs, strengths, and support requirements.
  • Interview caregivers, service providers, and other stakeholders to gather accurate information.
  • Review relevant records and incorporate multiple data sources to support assessment coding.
  • Enter data into state-mandated systems and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards as outlined by the program.
  • Coordinate interpreter services as needed for non-English/Spanish-speaking participants.
What We're Looking For:Education:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with adults with IDD (required)
  • Experience conducting assessments and prior CAS experience (preferred)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, email, and web-based systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Other Requirements:
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS ID card
