POSITION TITLE: Graduate Assistant - Project Coordinator for Entrepreneurship CenterDEPARTMENT: Brennan School of BusinessREPORTS TO: Clinical Faculty of EntrepreneurshipJOB STATUS: Part-time, Graduate AssistantDATE AVAILABLE: August 15, 2025HOURLY RATE: $16-18/hour for 15 hours a week during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, plus up to 6 credit hours of tuition remission each semester.POSITION SUMMARY:The Graduate Assistant (GA) for the Entrepreneurship Center supports the day-to-day operations of the Center by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence, assisting with event coordination, and supporting student engagement. The GA collaborates closely with the faculty lead on a variety of initiatives that promote entrepreneurial thinking and experiential learning. Responsibilities include managing communications, maintaining records of Center activities, and mentoring student workers in alignment with Center goals and university policies. This position is ideal for a candidate who is enthusiastic about fostering innovation, leadership, and business development in alignment with the mission of the Brennan School of Business.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the planning and execution of key Center initiatives, including the Business Idea Competition, Business Plan Development Competition, Entrepreneurial LaunchPad Fund, and related events.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and initiatives that promote entrepreneurship across campus.
  • Create marketing materials such as flyers and digital content to promote events and opportunities.
  • Document and maintain resources for students, faculty, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with faculty leads, provide administrative and logistical support, and contribute to student engagement and mentoring efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences professionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital design and web tools such as Canva and Wix.
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and professionalism in both independent and collaborative work settings.
  • Interest in entrepreneurship and innovation, with a willingness to support program development and student engagement activities.
  • Enrollment in a Dominican University graduate program is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Enrollment in a Dominican University graduate program required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience supporting events, workshops, or student programs.
  • Familiarity with social media management and basic content creation for outreach and engagement.
  • Interest in startups, innovation programs, and small business development.
