Location: Hybrid (Crane, IN)We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal hybrid position, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure to support a range of critical business and research initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) team to generate technical documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructures to support Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) workloads.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning and management of cloud and hybrid environments, improving efficiency and reducing manual overhead.
- Contribute to the definition and refinement of best practices and policies for hybrid cloud operations.
- Enhance and maintain the COSMOS pilot program, providing customers with a robust prototyping environment.
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- IAT Level III Certification (such as CASP+, CCNP, CISA, or CISSP).
- Compliant with Cyber Security Workforce Baseline Qualifications for your specialty area and proficiency level as outlined in Section 6.23.2 of Cyber Security Workforce Qualifications.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Systems Administration, with at least 3 years specializing in deploying and managing enterprise solutions on Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Kubernetes and Docker for cloud-native application orchestration and deployment.
- Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
- Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance at start.
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions to ensure optimal cloud performance and reliability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving infrastructure challenges.
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly preferred.
