The role balances lab and floor responsibilities, ensuring quality testing, compliance, staff development, and continuous improvement.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of six QA and lab staff
Split duties between lab testing (pH, solids, etc.) and floor/office responsibilities
Write, review, and update QA procedures and documentation
Conduct swabbing, sanitation verification, and environmental monitoring
Provide training on GMPs, sanitation, food safety, and quality compliance
Investigate and resolve quality issues with RCA/CAPA methods
Support SQF compliance and customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA and operations
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
1+ years of supervisory or lead experience
2+ years of food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
SQF Practitioner, HACCP, or PCQI certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, and food safety systems
Skilled in training, coaching, and mentoring teams
Experience with RCA, CAPA, and quality systems management
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with QA, operations, and regulatory teams
